We are pleased to have the opportunity to share information about our office and orthodontic treatment. Orthodontic treatment is a lifetime investment and requires a long-term commitment. Its success largely depends on the team effort of parents, patient, the orthodontist, and his staff. Working together, we can achieve the best result possible.

See what others have to say about us in Patient Testimonials.

Services We Provide

  • Full Orthodontic Treatment (Ages 10 & up)
    • Braces are used to treat crowded or spaced teeth as well as overbites, underbites, crossbites, etc.
    • Growth modification appliances can be used in conjunction with braces when jaw modification is needed.
  • Early Treatment (Ages 6-10)
    • When a number of "baby" teeth are still present, treatment can be started to correct severe overbites, crossbites, thumbsucking and tongue-thrusting habits, etc.
    • Growth modification appliances can be used when jaw modification is indicated.
  • Observation in our Recall System
    • If a patient is examined, but not ready for treatment, he or she is placed under observation and recalled every 6-12 months to monitor growth and development until they are ready for treatment. There is no charge for the observation visit.
  • Adult Orthodontics
    • Various treatment options are offered. Clear braces and Invisalign® are available.
  • Oral Hygiene Instruction
    • We are very concerned that your oral health be maintained while you are in braces, therefore a great emphasis is placed on oral hygiene throughout treatment. We strongly advise that you visit your general or pediatric dentist every 3-6 months during the course of treatment.

Your First Visits to Our Office

Initial Examination
Your first visit will be a comprehensive oral examination and an opportunity to get acquainted with the doctors and their staff. An opinion will be given about whether orthodontic treatment is required. We would like for you to leave our office with answers to the following questions:

  • What is the orthodontic problem and will it require treatment?
  • When is the best time to begin treatment?
  • How long will treatment take?
  • What is the estimated cost and what payment plans are available?

As a courtesy to you and your dentist, there is no charge for your initial exam.

Diagnostic Records and Consultation
If your initial examination indicates that you need treatment, we then arrange for complete diagnostic records. During this approximately 45 minute appointment, we will take x-rays, photographs and impressions of your teeth, and a wax bite to obtain the relationship of your jaws.

A complete diagnosis based on these records, as well as a detailed treatment plan and specific information on your financial responsibilities will be discussed.

The appointment for treatment to begin can be made at this time.

Regular Appointments

The appointment when you get your appliances (braces, expander, etc.) usually takes 2 hours. After this, you will likely be seen at regular intervals of 6 to 8 weeks for your "adjustment" which will usually take 15 to 30 minutes. We typically reserve morning and late afternoon appointments for your brief monthly adjustments. Our longer appointments (placing braces and expanders) are reserved for less demanded times. We also allow for emergency appointments each day. Our regular office hours are normally Monday through Thursday 8am to 5pm.

To remind you of your appointments, we call the night before and we also can send e-mail reminders if you have registered with our website. If you do need to cancel an appointment, please contact us immediately.

Fees and Insurance

Fees for treatment are based on the severity or complexity of your orthodontic problem. A discount is given for full payment at the initiation of treatment. However, most patients pay the fee during the time of their treatment (there is no finance charge). For your convenience, credit card payments are accepted. In addition, your balance and account information can be accessed online through our website (make sure you sign up in our office and get your password).

We will assist you in completing your insurance forms and make sure that you receive your maximum orthodontic benefit from your insurance company.
