The lip bumper is an appliance which is placed on the lower teeth to allow natural expansion of the teeth and to create space for all permanent teeth. When the lip pressure is removed by the lip bumper, the tongue pressure expands the lower teeth.
Instructions
This appliance stays in the mouth at all times.
The lip bumper should be removed only by Dr. Chapman or an assistant.
(If removed improperly, the teeth can move to undesirable positions.)
If ulcers appear, rinse mouth out with warm, salty water or Peroxyl. If it is too uncomfortable to wear, contact the office.
There is a replacement charge if appliance is lost or broken.
